I worked at Tesla starting in July of 2017 as an Operations Analyst out of the Bethlehem, PA distribution center facility and left as a Program Manager based out of Austin, TX as of September 2021. I spent most of my time in the distribution and supply chain organizations.

Before Tesla, I was a Director of Business Intelligence and Pricing at the largest Pet Food & Supply distributor in the US, Phillips Pet Food & Supplies based out of Easton, PA. My wife and I also owned a small business in Bethlehem, PA between 2016 and 2019.

I have been a shareholder of Tesla since 2012 and currently own Tesla stock.

My thoughts are my own and are not representative of everyone who currently works, or has worked at Tesla.

  1. Tesla doesnt have enough pull-through superchargers to make this usable or viable right now. I've gone on over a dozen very long road trips in my Model Y, but literally have never seen a pull-through supercharger.

They also have way too many v2 superchargers around here that limit to 75KW when they are all occupied. That situation really sucks.

  2. Towing long distance with an electric truck is not an option for people you have to unhook your trailer and leave it somewhere just so you can back in and charge your truck

  3. 2 million signed up at the old price, they expected half to drop out, now it'll probably be way higher at the inflated price. Demand is nowhere near 2 million

  4. Tesla will be watching the rate of order cancellations based on the high prices. They are caught in a Catch 22 situation since there is such high demand for the Cyber truck that people are willing to spend way above its sale price to acquire one. Tesla need to get their heads down and ramp production at an unprecedented rate. While multi motor all wheel drive variants are the high ticket items it will be the single motor rear wheel drive variant that will become the volume seller.

  5. Hybrids suck, who is stupid enough to buy something that has DOUBLE machinery to go wrong or need maintenance as it gets older !!!! And I still gotta buy gas when my solar panels give me FREE FREE FUEL !!!!

  6. My 2004 Ford expedition when first got it got 400 miles per tankful back 2004 then few years later it cant get past 200 miles per tank. I survived ! Want more range stop slamming the accelerator down to the floor bro ! Then you have the Tesla charging network soooo whats the worry?!!!

  7. Hello to everyone, I don't understand why people are complaining about the price of any of the 3 models of the cyber truck when people are used to buy expensiver truck for less safety than the Cyber truck, people need to understand no other trucks will beat cyber truck safety and for the price they are saline them is nothing comparing to your safety.

  8. If you drive a lot without access to home charging that necessitates the extra range..And I don’t like the tool box effect I’d of rather a bigger truck or an evenly raised bed..

  9. Although I pretty much expected what was revealed, I was still a bit disappointed. However, I am still looking forward to my reservation popping up to the top of the queue. Unfortunately, I am pretty much heartbroken that I will have to downgrade from the tri-motor to the dual. My wife wants me to go whole hog, but, at my age, what am I going to do with a 2.6 second 0-60 and 130mph top end? Maybe, I‘ll take the difference and put it down on a Cyberlandr. 😊😊😊

  10. One point is that it was 2 million preorders but 2 million were at that price points and specs detailed 3 years ago. I am curious to know how many orders were cancelled because why is Tesla still taking orders if they raised pricing to limit demand

  11. For ppl that are towing long range, mentioning the super charger network is useless and the fact that they are repeatedly saying you don't need the range because you have the supercharger network shoes how little they know about trucks lol. Go look at how the supercharger network, now picture pulling in with a trailer! You can't do it unless there's 5 spots in a row that are available and then you are occupying those five spots…. It's not going to work

  12. When I hear this sort of talk, throwing these high numbers around like candy, the monthly repayments will be horrendous, the federal EV credit comes off the tax payers again. I understand why America is in $33.85 trillion dollars of debt, and will soon unfortunately go bankrupt. Like the fall of Rome, consumed by western decadence & consumerism.
