The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, which gamers have been eagerly anticipating for almost a year, is here. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is an 8-core processor design that uses a single CCD and features a 3DV Cache capability for Zen 4, providing an additional 64 MB of L3 cache, which greatly improves the performance of certain workloads. While the processor falls behind in application performance compared to Intel’s offerings, it outperforms them in gaming. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is 5.6% faster than the i9-13900K and 5.8% faster than the Ryzen 9 7950X3D in our test suite at 1080p.

Is that UserBenchmark crying in the corner over there? Someone should check on him
In the land of gaming cache and latency are King and Queen.
wish you had the 7900X3D in your charts… considering is only 100bucks more expensive and in stock (compared to 7800X3D)
AMD wins again! Unfortunately the market price is all over the place.. Can't wait for Zen5 4/3nm IPC uplift to move my 7600X to.
If only they left the frequency the same as the 7950X3D vcache die. They didn't want to cannibalize sales of the 7950X3D.
The gab will be bigger with faster GPUs.
Debating if i should return my 7950x3d for this. I’d get refunded 300$
i settled for a 5800X3D but i'm upgrading from an i7 4790k tho and tha 5800x3d was overall cheaper to upgrade to
A great cpu to show has ABSOLUTELY fantastic the 13600k is ,,,, bang for buck champion …
I can't wait for this to be in stock again. A low power gaming powerhouse sounds like exactly the thing to build my next computer around.
100% is 20% faster than 83 %. Come on tech power up this is basic math. 100/83 = 1.2048 , not 17%. That's not how percentage works

Can’t wait to change my i7-3770 out for this bad boi
Still using a Ryzen 2600x, seeing some of these new chips get absolutely nuts with performance tempts me more and more towards a new build
Fewer cores go "AoliwJDOIajwDAD"
When you try to stream, and have tabs open while playing last of us.
I'd rather have 300fps instead of 320 with the 7900x3d if I HAD to choose one.
Funny how it defeats the higher priced 7950x3d cpu with more cores 😂
It’s an engineering blunder 👏🏻
There's no 7800X3D in sight in Italy…
Love TPU – great resource and reviews.
Would like to see the minimums for these CPUs on video reviews – will show some good differences.
I'm curious how 13900k would compare if the power limit was locked to like 70w or whatever the 3d is
Sick with it

With Unreal Engine 5 being out and many games using on the horizon, can you add the Matrix Demo from UE5.1 in there? Or a UE5 benchmark/game? I want to make sure this 8c/16t CPU is also going to be futureproof.
I'm using the 5.1 compiled demo from the link from here:

I guess if you play at 4k dlss set to quality the performance delta would be 15% delta gain for the 7800-x3d vs 7700x by using the 1440p relative performance chart. if you play at 4k native and already own the 7700x then it makes no sense to upgrade to the 7800X3D.
Много брака попадаются среди 7800X3D
Ryzen 7700 seems to be the best value today
Should be able to game in 1080p till 2025
Lol love the pcworld logo not the same but at first glance I thought it was
Another Paper launch here in the UK no stock or pre-order only starting to get fed up with company's stating a launch day for them to have no stock.
Wait, TechPowerUp has a YT channel?! TechPowerUp does YT reviews?! Why aren't these videos included in the written reviews? I'm just finding this out now after YEARS of reading TPU and YEARS of watching YT reviews.
I wish they would compare it to the 7950x3d with ccd1 disabled.
Paper launch in the UK, virtually no stock, maybe some next week
A small correction, if one CPU has 80% of the performance of the 7800X3D, the 7800X3D is ~25% faster, not just ~20%.
I decided to get 5800X3D. upgraded from an 8700k
