been getting 70-80c and even a spike to 90c on my 12700kf when playing COD at low settings. I changed it to Mode 7 and temps have been at nice 57c-66c with the cpu only going to 70 when loading something big.
hey I got question pls , if I changed cpu core voltage offset to something like 0.100 will that be fine too ?
@Teox85
What exactly is the Lite Load doing compared to more traditional adaptive + offset voltage?
Thanks
How come that your default voltage is so low ?! you have 1.250v Core VID and 1.202v under load , I haven't seen any 13700K with such low voltage on default !
What was your bios version at time of test ?
Just be careful, CB23.3 is not good enough to validate stablity (IMO), i was able to run Mode2 on a 13900K on CB23.3 for 1h stable but on OCCT Small/extreme was crashing in 10 sec until Mode4, on my 13700K on CB23.3 was stable on Mode1 for 1h, but on OCCT small/extreme i would crash in less than 1m, but manage to pass with Mode2. What im trying to say is that CB is not good enough to test how stable the CPU is, test with other more demanding tests.
I lowered to Mode 5 and my Cinebench was 15k on the 13700k. I didn’t change anything else. Any reason ?
Is it possible to enable an offset undervolt while set to a lower than default lite load? Or does that make no difference compared to a set mode?
Amazing! Wondering if using good 360mm AIO like Arctic can replicated your mode 2 result? any idea?
hi guys, I wanted to ask about the 13th generation of intel, can I put it on the z690
Great video thanks man !

I got 5.7 all core @1.27(overide), which was a nice undervolted overclock. Temps are high 40s-low 50s in msfs.
Hi, I’ve managed to get my system to run stable at lite load 2, that’s all I’ve changed nothing else, just that lite load mode setting. My temps are okay now topping at 84C and I’m wondering…
I don’t want to do anymore, I’m satisfied so can I leave it at 2 just like that, will I have any long term issues or will I be damaging my system in any way?
dark rock pro 4 will it be able to cool? i7 13700K
I'm not sure but y'all are missing the obvious takeaway. When you set the voltage low the CPU compensates by lowering the ratio. In this case we can see it is running at 53x and 42x so the power and temps will be lower. As I'm on a phone screen and can't see the hwinfo values I would guess it is less than 253W Intel rating.
Edit: zoomed a screenshot. Ya I can't make it out but it looks like 229w and 85C max so about stock like numbers depending on cooling, Im trying to figure mine out as the numbers are similar but I left the load control alone
Great vid, thanks!
question, i just got my i5 13600k and I freaked out when i saw 99c in aida64 as soon as i pressed start on cinebench, im using an arctic freezer 34 duo installed correctly, are we downgrading the performance of the cpu by lowering the Lite Load Mode ?
Phew, set lite load to 1 and ran cinebench and it didn’t crash or struggle once with my 13700k, I was scratching my head because my temps under any moderate load were reaching 80C easily. At LL1 I’m back down to the mid 60s for most heavy loads, peaking in lower 70s for really heavy loads. I realize these cpus are meant to run hot, but I’m in a room with limited ventilation and I’m not so heat resistant!
What's the whole point of doing this and why the one with highest power usage have less score than the lower power?
Is this method applicable with 13900K? Thanks 👍🏻
