This is one of the first rearview mirror dash cams that also features integrated wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto into its 11-inch display. Inside there is a Sony CMOS sensor for up to 4K video recording with a high-dynamic range for clear night recording and a viewing angle of 160 degrees. This display features FM audio transmission to pass sound from content on the display such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to your car speakers via the car’s FM radio.
The R9 is a decent and quite discreet way to get CarPlay or Android Auto in your car rather than a standalone dashboard or windscreen-mounted display. Can you have it to always show the rear camera by default? I want it for my pickup truck that has a blocked rear view.
I'm looking for a smart mirror that streams videos like Paramount+ etc, can operate all phone downloaded apps and can play movies from a flash drive. All the smart mirrors Ive seen and have owned do none of that. Does one even exist?

Out of all of these external carplay/android auto units, which would you say has the best audio quality when used via AUX? I've heard that most of these units sound terrible whether via aux or fm.

Perfect CarPlay supplement. Adds no screens or clutter to the stock interior. Removed quicker than anything else. My only holdout is for better audio transmission from the phone and from the mirror to the sound system. Neither audio streams can handle Apple Music at the Lossless level. But hey upgrades and refinements should be just around the corner.
does it have a browser and app store ? my android i have now it has both and can download other apps

Really smart but no Aux out or bluetooth out makes it a totally incomplete product. It is in my opinion necessary features.
Could I use carplay in this mirror for GPS driving directions while also using my iPhone to play music via bluetooth to the car stereo simultaneously?
