Nice VID.Thanks Bjørn!
I managed to go over 500 km Easely with my MY RWD from china. Driving around 110kmh in the Netherlands
How do you know which motor your car has? Just got my Y RWD from Berlin.
My lifetime average after 20,000km 2023 MIC RWD model Y is 142wh/km, with the 20’ induction – mixed driving prob 50% highway km, and always pushing the speed limit over 5km/h. (Ie 115 in a 110). I drive it pretty hard at every opportunity.
My lifetime average for my Fremont model 3 made in California with NCA was 138
Wh/km and I drove that really hard over 40,000km.
The RWD model Y has been tremendously efficient, especially considering it’s substantially bigger in most aspects including weight.
The only thing that really matters is lifetime average. As that’s real word! My same highway commute can vary by 30wh/km + or – if it’s a really windy day.
Not sure how you could ever do a test between 2 cars one day to the next without a long term average. Hence why standardized NEDC and WLTP testing exists I guess.
Hallo.
You test RWD…en rwd is standard range..
But than you have in the end.. fainal right Tesla long range……LR???
I bout to buy my first EV,I love the model Y model LR…but maybe Audiences here can give me advice..
I am getting 482 km range from my 64kw kona ev in the summer so I will definately have to get the LR model Y once I retire my diesel mercedes… lets hope the juniper project get those better m3p batteries and who know if we can get 700km of range – fingers crossed.
I think that Thailand trip needs to be redone as the consumption was absolutely very good on that I cannot match it anywhere
Hey would be interesting to see a mixed amount of driving. Maybe 30% city 70% highway ?!?!
Maybe smoother Asphalt in Thailand?
In Canada the Chinese made Model Y RWD SR 60 kWh cost $7000 more than ID.4 Pro S with the 82 kWh battery pack.
The value proposition makes no sense here, VW all the way.
You really got to get the same rims, the most efficient standard wheels for every car. With this you have y compare…
Thanks Bjorn, this is my favorite E-car😊.. affordable
Tesla is showing 600 km or more WLTP range on long range S and 3. Sounds like 1000 km challenge with a single charging session is close!
Just wonder why Tesla cant tell their batteries nett capacity?
Maybe my next car. Unexpected rust difficulties with my Dacia Lodgy.
I’m thinking of getting an ID.4 but i realy want an MY, the only thing i’m scared off is the soundprofing in the MY.
How quiet are they? What tires and rims helps ?
What about your MY u order in Thailand, got delivered or u cancel it ?
This is THE video I have been waiting for!
Is the ride comfort better in the RWD Model Y compared to the Long Range (4WD)? We have a Golf 7,5 stationcar right now – want to go electric but afraid the Model Y is to harsh of a ride for us
We have the MY SR with standard 19" rims and tires. Our consumption is 20.2 kWh/100km at 130kmh and about 19 kWh/100km at 120km/h. It must be the tires.
I would say the results are a bit high, saying this as a MY owner on 19" Hankooks, living just around the 1000k's turnaround point (so similar climate). Agreed on the noise, subjectively better than our MiC M3 from 2022
Smaller rims definitely make a significant difference in consumption
You are always correcting for measurement error on distance. How do you check that the reported consumption is correct?
