Today, DXOMARK held an online press conference on the update of the test benchmark and scoring system, releasing a new evaluation benchmark and scoring system in 2022, and at the same time updating the ranking of smartphone images, screens, audio, and batteries.
Based on the updated image scoring benchmark, DXOMARK re-ranks smartphone image TOP10.
Specifically, under the new V5 scoring standard, the Honor Magic4 Premium Edition and Huawei P50 Pro still rank first and second on the list, while the iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max scores greatly increased under the new mechanism, scoring 141 points, ranking third.
The Xiaomi Mi 12S Ultra’s score dropped 2 points from the previous V4 standard, ranking seventh on the list with 136 points. Previously, the aircraft ranked fifth in the DXOMARK global image rankings.
It is worth mentioning that Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun previously stated that Xiaomi Mi 12S Ultra will not be sent for testing DXOMARK, DXOMARK said that he always adheres to professional and considerable standards, and will purchase Xiaomi Mi 12S Ultra for testing at his own expense.
In addition, DXOMARK also reiterated that “we do not sell points nor lists”. The business model is to sell laboratory and technical reports. The published scores only depend on the quality of the product itself, and are not affected by whether the manufacturer chooses the evaluation service.
