  1. so, if a new update from apple were out, then what would be the correct steps to update the version of macos on an unsupported mac?
    a) a minor update…e.g. 14.1 to 14.2 or 14.3?
    b) major update…eg from sonoma 14 to the next macOS 15?
    thanks!

  2. Hi. I make an update with the ordinary way but now when is loading Sonoma stacked in the middle. When I tried to enter safe mode I cannot even enter the password because of the continuous display on and off. Please, can you help me?

  3. Hey Jessie. Inadvertently you solved nagging problem. You may recall several weeks ago my email saying that Photoshop ran very slowly on my unsupported Mac running Monterey. Turns out, I had not reinstalled the OpenCore boot files after upgrading to Monterrey from Big Sur. After hearing you address this problem earlier today, I went through the upgrade process again, reinstalled the OpenCore files, and all is well.

    Thanks.

  4. I recently deleted the oclp 1.1.0 and macos sonoma from my 2017 macbook pro, downgraded my mac to supported version of macos (ventura), and installed windows 10 using bootcamp assistant.
However, the main issue is the bootcamp logo is showing up instead of bootcamp logo in boot picker and it is so annoying😢. Please help me 🙁

  5. After rebooting, selecting the OCLP EFI, and reaching the MacOS HD selection screen, press and hold the space bar and after a few moments you should see additional options to boot from, including the "Reset NVRAM" executable. Select it and proceed as indicated from there.

  6. I'm sorry to say it as well but it's the Intel processor is coming to the end it's going to be a struggle to keep running them
you're going to get one more software update with the Intel processor and then its over

  7. Mine MacBook Pro Touch Bar 2017 did update without any issues (OCLP 1.1 and Sonoma 14.1). Had Sonoma 14 and OCLP 1.0 already installed and upgraded to 1.1 before upgrading macOS.

  8. I have been trying for more than a month now to fresh install sonoma / update from catalina to sonoma on my macbook pro mid 2012 i7, 16gb ram and 450 gb ssd but no luck, takes days on screen where it says " less than a minute remaining". Tried booting it in safe mode using your method of holding shift but yet no success. Please any help will be appreciated. Thank you

  9. First of all, congratulations for your clear way of explaining, thanks for your great job. I'm having problems with my MacPro6.1 (late 2013). On the internal disk I mounted Ventura and it seems quite stable. I would like to install Sonoma 14,1 on an virgin external SSD but I can never complete the process because it always crashes. I 'm trying with the instructions in this video…. No, nothing to do! The installation external SSD hangs on the macOS Sonoma installer mask, about 1/3 of the way through the installation. It arrives with 14 minutes left, then increases to 15 minutes and then stops completely. Please, help me.

  10. I did a full install on my MacBook Pro 15" 2015 11,4 and all went well, I did this after the trouble seen by Mr Mac and yourself. I didnt mind reinstalling programs as most passwords are in my keychain and others I remember by second nature. Up and running with all programs and 14.1 installed in 2 and a half hours. Using opencore of course

  11. Hey Jesse I got a question what can I do to speed up my boot time I've got the open core legacy patcher logo disabled but it sits on the black screen with the progress bar for probably 1 minute and then it'll boot me in to the OS when I look at your computers yours boots so fast and I'd love to have that My specs are as followed 2015 MacBook pro dual graphics 1 TB Samsung ssd
