In today’s video I will demonstrate how to install a fresh, clean version of macOS High Sierra on your Mac.
This video will demonstrate how to:
1. Create a backup of your files.
2. Download macOS High Sierra.
3. Download and Install Disk Creator.
4. How to create a bootable USB Flash Drive with macOS High Sierra.
5. How to use the Flash Drive to Install macOS High Sierra on your Mac.
The process isn’t very tough, but it is time consuming. So make sure that you aren’t in a hurry, and won’t need your computer for the day.

Hi there, what do you do when your USBs keep saying 'Error Encountered' when you try to run Disk Creator? It says 'try ejecting the destination disk or rebooting' which I have tried many times. I have tried multiple USBs, all 16GB+ and can't get passed running Disk Creator to erase the USB disk and add High Sierra to it…help please…

I'm not able to download Mac OS high Sierra from my apple store😢
i followed every steps but when i get to the 12:50 mark the next thing that pops out is a flashing document with a question mark?? any Idea why that happened??
use a wired keyboard! (to hit the alt-key) it saves you a lot of time and grey hairs. hahaha
Thank you so much for this video, it was a great help for me, but I have to say, I couldn't make a proper boot usb device using the DMG image, so I had to use Etcher to put an ISO image of High Sierra, and it worked like a charm.

Saved my life
when I press and hold option on start-up it does not show the menu, but the apple logo then loads the macOS Utilities (dialog). Any other way I could possibly get the Start-up Manager?
When I hold option my USB icon is a yellow external drive, its not the same as your circle high sierra icon.

Will this work for new hard drive as well?
If I wanted to install high Sierra on an external SSD drive should I do the same process but go into the disk utilities and select the SSD instead of the main MAC drive? I have Sierra on that and don't want to change it.
When to use APFS over extended journal?
Is there any way of doing a clean install and preserving the third party softwares you've downloaded and installed? I'd rather not have to spend an entire day doing that again. Hopefully this isn't a paradoxical question

for me it says install a new version of MacOs lion i dont have lion on the usb though
Thanks for the video. After starting the installation when I went to erase the old hard drive the only option I had available was APFS not Mac OS journaled
My computer after I reboot does not say high sierra as an option it says efi boot. Is that the same?

Many thanks. Please I try to install Sierra. The image file is in the USB but when I boot from the USB, and the initial screen appears. I don't have access to the mouse and keyboard.
Just goes to internet recovery
Just restore flash from InstallESD.dmg file in SharedSupport
