3. i invested into ps3 games because of bluray, the lifespan, gtav being on one disc, movies in blu ray, all that good stuff, also, the xmb in still in love with, its also a really good media player

4. It's so weird how Sony can't get backwards compatibility of PS3 games to run PS5, while RPCS3 allows you to play several games either decently or near perfection already.

5. Does this get around the official 1TB size HDD limit? I currently own 150 PS3 games, 320 PS2 games, and 535 PSX games with more to come. Ideally, I would like to eventually install ALL my discs for convenience.

11. My ps3 slim is hen jailrboken but cant start the iso (ps2 game) it says Not compatible whit that ps3 system. Any help someone?

13. Well, now they have RSX swaps from 90nm to 60nm/40nm for the phat models. It's a bit pricey, but in my opinion, it's worth it if you want a PS3 with the PS2 hardware in it.

    IIRC, that's a fat PS3 with a slightly newer PS3 CPU and some little adapter thingy.

I have a modded ps3 god do i hate it im playing about 100 games 10 minutes a piece but on a serious note im just to busy with work and when i get to trying to finish one game im sad because it leaves me feeling ill never get to finish the games i want to play. Why😢 couldn't i have had something like this when i was a kid

16. I've been meaning to put CFW on my PS3. Are no Super Slims compatible with CFW? I might be convinced to buy a second hand Slim and donate my Super Slim to the channel for research porpoises.

18. I'm just about to embark on the jailbreak process .. Would you say the emulation of PS2 games on PS3 looks better than if you were using the original game on a PS2 with component cables or one of those cheap HDMI things you can plug into the AV Multi Out port?

19. PLEASE Stop using the ridiculous term JAILBREAK. Just say HACKING! Jailbreaking is a term invented for the ignorant NON tech savvy users of the iPhone. It is not a term anyone who is your age or with your computer knowledge should be using. Sounds so childish and ridiculous. You weren't "jailbreaking" back in your OG xbox days so why would you use the term now? Stop spreading it like a plague.

20. You mentioned that for ps2, it is software emulation. How about ps1 games? The game will be running using an emulator too? If so, how is the emulation?

    I currently use my ps2 slim to play ps1 games and I’m wondering if it is worth changing to use ps3 instead.

23. Jailbroke my ps3 phat back in 2019 and gave it a new lease on life. Tried so many games i never got s chance to play back in the day. Games like Resistance and killzone games. Recently picked up a slim and will get round to jailbreaking that too. They are still great systems

33. Personally, while the Slim models are the ones people like the most, I personally love the original launch PS3 consoles the most. Yes, while they do have the yellow light of death, there are people out there whom have fixed it in the de-lidded upgraded versions of the PS3 but they do cost between $500 to $800 dollars. And personally, I would rather get it as a collector's console so this way we have ALL of the playstation consoles in our household.

    Also, having the ability to Play not only PS3 and PS1 games backwards compatible, but also PS2 games fully backwards compatible, that to me is worth the price, plus the beautiful look of the PS3 console with it's black piano matte finish with the old Playstation 3 font from back in the mid 2000s.

34. "You will own nothing and be happy"…..gamers are seeing first hand how that idea works. How happy does it make you feel when Sony, Nintendo etc. decides you no longer need to be able to access a game you've purchased? Or when they remotely brick your console because they "no longer support it"?

35. i would say that irisman and webman is the best way to go from personal experience, multiman gave me consistent issues

36. picked up a slim from the local pawnshop, someone had left an 870 evo in it so i was pretty happy, been fantastic playing stuff like killzone, resistance, armored core and god of war again

37. the PS3 Slim does get the Yellow Light of Death i have 3 PS3's and 2 are Slims and one of the Slims has the YLOD
