The Samsung ViewFinity S9 could be the best monitor ever for MacBook users… Yes, even better than the Apple Studio Display! Why? It’s simple – you get almost all of the features (including 5K resolution) of Apple’s $1599 monitor, but for a much lower price tag. Let’s check out the trailer together and talk about some of the features of the ViewFinity S9.

We need a lot more options for these monitors. There are 2-3 that are 5k and not even 120hz, need a whole market for them like 4k because Apple sucks and doesn’t do display scaling properly for all resolutions
I need a 32" version of this
How is this more affordable?!
good review… I still believe that, for the price, you better spend a couple extra bucks and go for the Apple studio display. For $200 more you get a much better quality build, better speakers and better color accuracy.
lol InnoCN 27M2U-D 27" 4K mini-LED backlight IPS Panel HDR1000 just costs 320 USD but this shit costs 1.5 grand
99% DCI-P3 99% Adobe RGB and average delta-e is around 0.5
$1,600 for a monitor?!?!
lol right
these are priced the same as Studio Displays, so Samsun lost here as the build quality and materials are worse than these from Apple
12 megapixels is more than 4k… 4k is 8.3 megapixels. The video makes it sound like the camera is better because it's 4k, which doesn't actually measure performance.
$1600 on Amazon…I think I go with the studio display for that price.
There is a usb c port in which the camera plugs in…not just a "stand" for it.
Information I’m finding for this monitor says it’s the same prices as apples
It's priced here for 1600. Friend working in the Apple store can order me the Studio for 1390 (glossy + normal stand). Hope the price would be at release closer to 1k.
No, it could not. It’s stupid to even think that.
There is just one problem: it's only 60Hz 🤷♂
i keep watching this guy even if the only apple product i have is an iphone
dcip3 is not color accuracy, it's just a color range. color accuracy would be Delta E. And apple is pretty good with calibrating…so i don't know what to expect from samsung…
Also how could you release a monitor that costs the same as the apple studio, has no meaningful advantages and is made out of f*** PLASTIC???
Wish there was a non-matte version. Absolutely no need for matte unless there is a window is behind you.
miles ahead as design because it's of aluminum, what can i say, not the image quality matters?! come on…doesn't worth the price difference
this was on a video about 6 months ago, is it finally out yet, no use to copy Apple they're about to come out whit another soon
Nah it's overpriced.
that notch down there in the mid of the monitor is very ugly, Iwill be waiting for new apple generation or ROG
still waiting
Been wanting to purchase a 27” 5K display for ages now and the Studio Display is just too expensive and also I’d prefer to have external input abilities saw well.
Obviously it’s only 60 Hz. So it’s a no-go. People really under value this aspect of the screen, but it just makes it a joy to use an operating system.
Why product X should either be the killer of product Y or a victim of product Z?
Why all youTuber tech reviewers have that same finite view of the tech industry and want everyone to think the same way?
as a sKorean i really don't want to actively buy anything Samsung, cause it's impossible to avoid them here, but it's hard to find 5K monitor too….
1. Samsungs colors tend to be over saturated, at least in stores. 2. What are the color gamuts offered by this monitor other than sRGB and DCI P3? (EG Adobe RGB?) Thank you.
Where do you get your backgrounds
If the price on this unit is looking like $1350, I'd spend the extra $250 for the Apple quality, all metal frame and assurance that it will work flawlessly with all Apple products. Quite an investment either way.
Still 60hz though… As much as I dislike the look of 4K on MacOS, I dislike low refresh rate much more.
Could you use this in tandem with an iPad Pro '22?
he is not competing with any display the apple studio display is not manufactured by themselve.
One year = 750€
It‘s a Samsung.
Horrible
