I think I will never buy an apple product ever. Where I live if people cant' fix what they are buying, chances are, they won't buy the same brand again and if you buy a phone with 3000 USD then to replace a screw will cost you 500 USD, that was the only time when you did buy their crap. If I can get an iPhone 18 for free, the next day I will sell it to someone else. I'm not even curious to see how it's working.

Its more repairable true but only for apple.. so apple played smart move by making it more repairable for themselves so that they can still charge hefty money for repairs with less efforts from their side

been with top end Samsung android since the iPhone 4s and I'll never buy apple garbage again, and yes I've tried new models as my father gets the new pro every year wants I really can't believe how much a pile of junk this phone is. never once has my android lagged or had any hiccups, especially out the box but every time my father gets a new one. even after a few days so it's definitely settled. it's the laggest pile of crap in existence.

Say Apple allows any parts to be used and work perfectly. When I take my phone to be repaired at a third party shop, how can I be sure that they are using high quality parts and not cheap batteries etc? How can I be sure that the parts used from a stolen iPhone that was broken apart to be used as parts to repair other phones? How can I be sure that I am getting genuine Apple parts if that is what I want? Same as when I get my Audi serviced or parts replaced, I want genuine Audi parts, or if they aren't OEM then I at least want to be sure that they are as good or better quality than the OEM parts. I'm sure there is a better way than what Apple is doing but in a sense, it does protect the consumer. Also if I need repairs, I go to an Authorised repair shop so none of this is really relevant anyway.
