  1. Do you think apple is gonna stop selling macbook air m1, because im thinking to buy macbook air m1 for university this summer or next year if i get into one. I just wanna buy it, cuz my windows hp pavilion 15 is in terrible condition. PS: I use an android mobile phone. Please help!!

  2. you should buy neither as of January 2024 as the M3 is about to be launched, which will be more future proof, whilst both will become substantially cheaper in a few weeks.

  3. Thanks for this video. By my side, I want to share that I bought the MacBook Air M1 base config brand new in Costco online store cause I got it for just $679 USD on December 2023. I did it cause I have been using for basic tasks my old MacBook Air 2017 for many years until now, it still works but I thought it was time to sell it and buy a new. I must say! I can't be happier because battery life is just amazing and even for some tasks like programming in C, Python and R is great and also some database management with MongoDB and SQL so it is becoming my main computer for the masters degree in Data Science that I just started.

  4. I think investing in storage optimization when buying a MacBook Air M1 or M2 is not the best choice, because even 512 GB will be reached sooner or later. 256 GB is sufficient and much cheaper because then you will only have to buy a high performance 2 TB (= 2000 GB!) external SSD which will cost you less than $200! External SSDs today are barely bigger than a USB key and just as light! They fit in the palm of one hand and are lightning fast when exporting or importing files. This is the case with my Corsair 100U which is one of the first types of external SSDs recommended for Macbooks.

  5. My wife got an M1 Air last month for $750 at Costco, saving $250 vs. the M2. She just didn't see much advantage, given her usage, in spending the extra bucks. I would imagine the M1 will be retired this year, but for the moment it can still be had for $750 on Amazon. The point is, of course, that you can't go wrong with either of them.

  6. I Loved my m2 air!.. Still do! used it for 6 months but unfortunately I made the mistake of going for 512/8gb and that 8 just wasn't cutting it. Found a killer deal and upgraded to the 18gb m3 pro last week. However, If I had just upped the ram to begin with, I'd happily still be using it! Part of me actually doesn't wanna sell it lol.. it's just so slim and light compared to the pro and it was plenty when it came to processing power! the weight and thickness don't look like much on paper, but traveling with the thing every day, as well as carrying it around work all the time, It's something I notice.. But alas, I've ultimately decided to stick with the m3. It's just objectively a better machine in many ways.. But I still just don't really wanna sell the air! There's just something about it, lol! I just can't really justify hanging on to both!

I'm even torn between the midnight and space black when it comes to color! The space black is cool but there's something about that metallic blue that really appeals to me.. The Black isn't even that much less of a fingerprint magnet!I feel like I need to wipe it down about half as often as I did with the midnight.. and as someone who keeps their shit clean, Im talking vacuum the keyboard and vents daily kinda clean, this doesn't make much of a difference to me.

  7. Great comparison! I also add that because we are so close to the M3 air launch, I wouldn’t buy any of these two machines! Let’s wait and see how the prices change!
