  1. This is so simple, people stop buying this trash and the company will stop making it near impossible to repair them. But nope! People are morons and they continue to buy and thus the company has no reason to not make it harder and harder to repair them. Once a moron always a moron.

  2. In various Tech-based environments, I have known many Licensed technicians. They come in two flavors Competent, professional, Confident…. Or sketchy as Fu***. I'm in the middle – VERY experienced and with a few bit of paper to my name. But I also know when to walk away from something and say "Sorry – I can't do that". I'm old – 50…. and I see the kids coming through and you can't help but judge them. Some are absolute fucking geniuses. I mean… they do things I would NEVER think of. But most….. most…… are morons, given a screwdriver. Unfortunately is takes a few years to figure out A from B.

  3. I use to work for a major US based repair company that is partnered with Samsung, and am certified/licensed to repair their phones, so yes we exist. Also yes, we never remove the inner screen, Samsung does not repair that screen and will usually just replace the phone or it will require a complete body/frame replacement that houses the inner screen.

  4. Even though the repairability cost of folding phones is really high and it's unnecessarily complicated tech, I just got the Fold4 with a pretty nice discount, since the shop is selling out their stock to stock up on Fold5's, and I gotta say, the multitasking capabilities and just usability alone on that huge screen is just amazing. And then you fold it in half and it fits in any pocket. It's just awesome and well worth the money I paid for it, which is about half it's original launch price.

  5. i doubt its heat resistant gasket, that stuff is very low modular and barely hold onto anything, its probably just a heat resistant version of the glue they been using all along. i use heat resistant gasket all the time and it does not stick well, you could literally just pull it apart, its a very weak substance and is designed to be held between 2 bolted together materials.

  6. I need your help, friends, I have 1 fold 4 that I disassembled to change the screen. I changed it and it's ok, but now when I open it, it doesn't detect that it's open and it only goes to the small screen. What sensor is responsible for that? It is magnetic swnsor seems to go ok thanks friends

  7. You can use IR ceramic heat plate – it does not need direct contact. One like they use as bottom heater in cheap PCB hot air stations. Just stick the thermocouple on the metal part near battery not to overheat it.

  8. 3:20 i have noticed that you sometimes cause damage because you use the wrong tools. When folding the copper back, use a soft tool or even your fingers, you wont leave grooves from the pick

  9. To answer your question about phone still having warranty. I bought a flip 4 that had warranty until 2025 and the hinge was popped out. Samsung is refusing warranty repairs on all those devices citing impact damage even if there isn`t any and the devices have known faults with the hinge design. Bought mine for £120 and repair cost me another £75, so £200 all together still not bad for a phone that`s £1000 brand new from samsung.

  10. 10:01, is there another way to remove the excess glue after its dried. I have some spillage on the side of the crack. Would alcohol do it? if
its not coming out with the hand completely.
