  1. Hate it. I donโ€™t use it at all and it just makes a big annoying black spot wasting space across the top of the screen. It is ugly. I wish I could turn it off. Apparently I canโ€™t. Bump it by accident and it screws up everything else. Ugh!

  2. Dynamic island is good and convenient for a lot of things. Because it's so new and have got a lot of functionalities, people are still being caught up in all the hypes and they miss out on the issues that come with it. If you must compare the 14 pro and the 14 pro max, the dynamic island is probably better for iphone 14 pro…. because most people can still operate them with 1 hand. But when it comes to the 14 pro max, you will need 2 hands to operate it. When the screen becomes that big, to reach the dynamic island, you will need to use your 2nd hand, which makes using the phone that much more inconvenient. And the situation is not as simple as a few native apps. Apple puts so much into developing the dynamic island that many, many native apps work with it. So that means it's a phone I have to use 2 hands to operate.

Some might argue that the same issues happens with android phones as well when you have to interact with the notification bar. Well, if you are into android long enough (or it should be a common knowledge for newer smart phone?), you should know that you can just swipe down anywhere on the home screen to draw down the notification bar so you can interact with any notification. Granted, you still need to use 2 hands at times, but it's only at times. For iphone 14s (or pro max, more specifically), it's almost ALL THE TIME!!!!

In addition, touching that cut out to interact with the dynamic island, inadvertently, you would end up touching the selfie camera. Sexy! So now every time I want to take a selfie, I have to clean the camera. If not, I would end up with smudgy selfie photos. How stupid is that? So taking a selfie needs an extra step now?!

Also, it still doesn't hide (pun intended) the fact that there is an ugly cut out on top… especially when you watch videos, play games, and recording videos. What's worse, 3rd party apps don't play well with the cut out. God knows when these 3rd party apps will get updated to work with the cut out. If not, I will have to deal with wrongly placed text, buttons and etc FOR A LONG TIME!!!

  3. Lol. "Samsung has a tiny hole punch. How can we compete? I know let's make it huge and sell it as a feature! These sheep will buy anything we push as a feature! But won't you not be able to reach it and/or cover the camera with your fingerprints constantly? Don't worry about that, we'll tell them it's a great feature and they'll blindly love it!" Come on people….

  4. Maybe I will finally upgrade… from my iPhone 7 Plus! ๐Ÿ˜‚ For a 4.5 year old phone, it's still running pretty well, although I am running out of storage at 32 GB. Then again, I am outdated on a lot of my devices apparently lol. The Dynamic Island looks pretty cool, too, despite the name. Thx for the vid!

  5. Sometimes we forget how deprived iphone users are, they are getting excited by the 'dynamic island' that can now be used as a timer/stop watch

  6. I don't get how you guys let Apple get away with pushing out the same phone. Other companies are trying to be more innovative and here you have Apple using the same design for years. I get incremental upgrades are a thing and I don't expect massive changes every year, but what Apple is doing you can hardly call it incremental upgrades anymore.

  7. How people fall for brands , its like a zombie apocalypse's, Apple adding 1 feature every year , just one, so people will buy every year the same device plus one new feature… that's just funny…congratz on the AOD , it took apple about 7 years , but that's logical if you want to exploit your costumer base…maybe in 5-6 years you will get 120hz ๐Ÿ˜€

  8. The thing about this "Dynamic Island".. I don't want to have to push to answer a call, at the top of the phone.. I just want to be able to swipe at the bottom where my thumb is. I think the idea isn't bad, but where its located and where my fingers are, when naturally holding the phone.. Yeah I don't know man.

  9. The iPhone 14 is NOT basically a 13 Pro…
It's not just aluminum and missing the telephoto. The UW is also different, no ProMotion, lower brightness and much more.
It's still basically an 13 but with the main camera of the 13 Pro. The 13 also already had sensorshift.

  10. OMFG, I wasnโ€™t going to upgrade this year for the first timeโ€ฆ and then Apple showed off the Dynamic Island. Super sold. iPhone 14 Pro Max will be here Friday, lol
